Many German companies such as Siemens, BASF, Evonik or VW are increasingly focusing on investments in the USA instead of Europe. The US market is also becoming increasingly attractive for real estate investments. For Handelsblatt, journalist Katharina Kort asked NEWPORT CEO Olaf Kunkat about the reasons for this. He explains: “The US market is solvent, transparent and quickly adaptable. Its geopolitical location combined with the country’s resources makes it more independent than the European market. In addition, the US market is less regulated and energy security is higher.”
NEWPORT offers its investors access to the US real estate market and is demonstrating in South Downtown Atlanta what modern urban development can achieve: a total of 52 historical buildings in ten adjacent blocks are being transformed into an urban, mixed-use sustainable neighborhood. Renovations and new buildings will create apartments, restaurants, shops, and office space.
